To become a celebrity means to start earning lots of money, reach success, among other things. However, there is also a bad side to it, and that is, of course, losing your privacy. Unfortunately, celebrities become the subject of public interest. Therefore, people want to know what they are doing all the time.
Thus, paparazzi. But, what is the best way to live quietly, and rest from that tiring routine of having people commenting on everything you do? Well, that’s pretty easy actually. It is to simply stay out of social media. Indeed, having millions of followers is not a bad thing.
But, getting comments or opinions on the different aspects of your life 24/7 is. So, in order to avoid that, some celebrities choose not to be on any of the social media platforms most of us love to visit. And today we’ll tell you all about them.
American actress Emily Blunt is one of the celebrities who opted not to be on social media. According to an interview with the Vulture, Blunt claimed to be sort of dinosaur when it comes to social media platforms. Moreover, she said that social media is not really a good fit for her in general.
“I can barely remember to text people back!” She said.
British actor Daniel Radcliffe, better known for his role as Harry Potter over the last decade, doesn’t use social media either. The actor actually enjoys his privacy and chooses not to share every moment of his life. As a matter of fact, in an interview with Sky News, Radcliffe said:
“I don’t have Twitter and I don’t have Facebook, and I think that makes things a lot easier. If you go on Twitter and tell everybody what you’re doing moment to moment and then claim you want a private life, then no one is going to take that request seriously.”
Finally, American actress Mila Kunis also joins the list of celebrities who don’t use social media. Unlike her husband and former co-protagonist in the sitcom That 70’s Show, Ashton Kutcher, Kunis prefers to live a life away from sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Moreover, she expressed her thoughts regarding the whole social media topic, and said: “I just don’t think people need to know when I’m going to the restroom.”
