1. Save posts where only you can see them
Have you ever been scrolling through your feed and saw something that you don’t have the time to read right now but you are very interested in? Well, Instagram has a little known feature that lets you save posts to an area of your profile that only you can see. It’s the perfect place to save posts that inspire you. Simply go to a post you’d like to save and tap the bookmark icon underneath the post on the right side of the screen. To review your saved posts go to your profile and tap the matching icon.
2. Look through pictures without worrying about accidentally liking them
The art of looking through someone’s Instagram photos without the fear of accidentally liking a post you didn’t mean to engage in. To do this you have to go to the feed to lead the posts and then turn airplane mode on. When you reach the end of the first couple of rows and want to load more posts just simply turn off airplane mode off and load some more then turn it back on. Now you can scroll fear free.
3. Hide photos you’ve been tagged in
Have you ever been tagged in photos that you’d rather not be engaged with? To see what posts you’ve been tagged in simply go to your own profile and click the person icon beneath your bio. To hide the posts you’ve been tagged in from other users click the three dots in the top right of your screen and choose the option “Hide photos”. Then all you have to do is select the photos that you’d like to remove from your profile.
4. Browse posts from certain locations
One of the most interesting and fun things you can do is browse photos and videos from a specific location. Whether you are planning a trip somewhere, want to check out a new restaurant or simply you want to see how a different culture lives and uses Instagram it’s always helpful and fun to know about this option. To search for a specific place you simply tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your home screen which will bring you to the search page. When you click in to the search bar at the top four tabs appear. Choose “Places” and type in the name of a place. Simple and useful!
