How To Create An Instagram Group Chat
Instagram has been in our lives for over 8 years now. During that time the photo-sharing app has made it its mission to amaze us with update after update. Nowadays, there are a wide number of things we can do when using Instagram. The Instagram group chat option, for example, is one of those things.
Today, we will teach you how to add people to a group chat on Instagram Direct, so that you can share what you want with more than one person at the same time.
Steps
Go to your Direct Messages
The first thing you want to do is enter your direct messages. To do this, you simply need to go to your home screen and tap the icon on the top right. This will open up a new tab, where you will be able to see all your contacts.
Tap the plus button
Once you have entered your direct messages, you will see there is a plus icon located on the top right of your screen. Click it and it will take you to another tab from which you can continue with the next step.
Search the people you want to add
Finally, when you enter the new tab, there will be an option from which you can type the name of the people you want to add to the group chat. Currently, Instagram allows users to create group chats of up to 32 people.
Once you have selected all the people you want to add to the group, simply tap next on your phone keyboard, and the group will automatically be created.
Note
At the moment, there is no way to remove people from Instagram group chats. However, if for some reason you want to keep someone out of your group conversation, you have the option to create a new group. Follow the steps from the paragraphs above and exclude the person you don’t want to participate.
