Clearing Instagram Search History – Tutorial

Fortunately, clearing your search history from Instagram is pretty easy. But, there is one small limitation. Unlike Facebook, Instagram doesn’t allow its users to delete individual searches. In other words, you can’t choose a specific user to remove from your search history.

So, you either delete all the people you looked for on Instagram or you don’t. Now, in order to delete your searches on the photo-sharing app, you just need to follow a few simple steps.

First, open Instagram on your phone and go to settings. Then, enter the Privacy and Security section and scroll down until you find the option that reads Clear Search History.

Finally, tap that option and confirm that you want to remove all your recent searches. Doing so will leave the search bar empty as new. And that’s pretty much it.

Now, there are cases in which your search history continues to show the people you wanted to remove. Even after following the steps from above. So, is there something wrong? Well, not really. As a matter of fact, this is something very common.

So, all you need to know is how to reset your device, or simply log out from your Instagram account and then log in again.
