Instagram has once again partnered up with a new platform to make users happier. The photo-sharing app has deals with multiple other major sites on the Internet. Spotify, Shazam, Giphy, among others. However, this is the first time Instagram joins forces with a movie streaming service.

That’s right, Instagram has decided to partner up with Netflix to let users share their favourite shows and movies on Stories. But, how can we do that exactly? Well, here’s a hint, you will only need to tap your phone a few times.

So, there’s no need to be a genius to learn how to share something on Instagram. As a matter of fact, the photo-sharing platform makes it easy for literally everyone to do such a thing. Evidently, Netflix makes things easy for us as well. 

In order to share your favourite show or movie on your Instagram Stories, you need to do the following. First, open Netflix on your phone and select the content that you want to share. Then, tap the “Share” option which is located just below the movie or show’s description.

After that, select Instagram Stories and wait for a pop-up message to show up. The message will read, “Netflix wants to open Instagram. Simply tap open and you will redirected to Instagram Stories. There, you will have the cover of the show or movie you selected, and of course all the options you normally have on Instagram Stories. 

So, all that’s left to do is to edit your Story as you would normally do with any other piece of content you share, and post it. Also, do notice that you can decide whether to share what you’re watching with all your followers, or only with your close friends.

There’s a chance that you don’t get the “Share to Stories” option. For instance, I was unable to share any show or movie to my Instagram Stories. However, if this happens to you as well, what you need to do is very simple. Go to the PlayStore or Appstore and update Netflix. 

Then, enter the streaming platform and try sharing again. This time you will get the full menu.
