Instagram started as an app to upload photos and add filters. The overall idea was to share part of our lives with friends and family. Certainly, this is something we can still do. And, of course, we will continue to be able to do it for the rest of our lives.
But, things don’t stop at just uploading a photo. As a matter of fact, we can also tag specific people who we want to see our content. And doing so is actually pretty easy. Here’s how you can tag people in an Instagram post.
Tagging People On Instagram
First of all, you will need to open up Instagram on your phone. Then, you will need to upload a photo. To do so, simply tap the plus icon on the bottom of your screen and capture the image that you want to upload.
Remember, you can also use a photo already saved in your gallery. Also, the tagging feature is not just limited to photos. As a matter of fact, you can also tag people in videos as well.
Now, after selecting the picture you want to upload, add a filter and tap where it says “Next.” Finally, you will be redirected to a screen full of options. Currently, we are able to add our location, tag people and share our content in other social media platforms.
Of course, you will want to tap where it says “Tag people.” Last of all, tap on the search bar and look for the people who you want to tag. After you have finished selecting the users you want to tag in your post, simply tap share and you are good to go.
Note
Instagram does not only allow you to upload photos individually but also in bulk. As a matter of fact, you can add up to 10 photos at the same time. Fortunately, doing so does not affect the tagging feature in any way.
In other words, you can upload multiple photos at once and still tag the people you want in each post individually.
